New batch of Robocop reboot set pics reveal a detailed look at the armor, Michael Keaton, and protesters

We've got a healthy batch of pics from the set of Jose Padilha's ROBOCOP reboot (on top of the ones we posted this morning), featuring Joel Kinneman decked out in the new "stealth" Robocop armor as well as Michael Keaton at a press junket of some type with a group of people protesting, well, what else? robots.  Ah, the problems of the future...
The black-clad Robocop armor can be seen in full detailed view here, along with the red visor and red lights on the back of the helmet.  We also have our first look at Robocop's gun, which looks reminiscent of the original hand-held automatic pistol.  A lot of folks have made the comparison to IRON MAN's armor, but really, is that going to be the case every time someone shows up in a film wearing robotic armor?  I'm not crazy about the "stealth" ROBOCOP, but I'm not against it either.  Ultimately, the moving images will convince me.  Well, that and the rating.  However, given the recent shitty box office of DREDD 3D, which is a similarly-themed "futuristic armored cop with a robotic voice" with a hard-R rating, it's not likely we'll see ROBOCOP go that route.
Your move, creep:

SYNOPSIS TIME:
In RoboCop, the year is 2028 and multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robot technology. Their drones are winning American wars around the globe and now they want to bring this technology to the home front. Alex Murphy (Kinnaman) is a loving husband, father and good cop doing his best to stem the tide of crime and corruption in Detroit. After he is critically injured in the line of duty, OmniCorp utilizes their remarkable science of robotics to save Alex's life. He returns to the streets of his beloved city with amazing new abilities, but with issues a regular man has never had to face before.
ROBOCOP is set to bring justice to theaters on August 9, 2013.

Street Fighter Dark and Gritty

STREET FIGHTER : VENGEANCE
Well, we all know about Street Fighter Legacy and the upcoming series Assassin's Fist. But how many of us know of the dark and gritty street fighter video that's been rumored in progress?

Well not many, but there is one currently in production, for youtube, been written and directed by short film director Renaldo Kell. We asked him why he's working on this short film and he replied," I think the main reason I'm doing this short s because I'm sick and tired of the fakeness that's been potrayed in alot of street fighter films and shorts. Not really story wise, but look. I think it's time to do something different and what not what fans expect." We did further try to find out more on story but all we got is who is gonna be in it. The director did explain that he wanted the story to be a surprise, just that don't expect it to be what you use to.

The fighters and cast that will be in the short are:

Ken played by Wesley Kirsten
Ryu played by Kevin Hsu
Dhalism played by Deshan Maharaj
Balrog played by Cecil Pheta

Well that's all we got now but we'll keep you up to date with news on the project.

History

Smithdale Haunting is a south african based horror flick from short film Director Renaldo Kell. The idea sprang before 2005 with a group of friends just messing around with a low quality digital camera. As years soon began to past various stories began to rise up surrounding the idea for a smithdale haunting film.

After many filmed try outs, and stories with new comer actor Moses Ramlall the project was forgotten and left on ice. In 2010, Director Renaldo Kell began working on the script for a full feature film, during this time he had online projects that were going on like, Ronald & Vishnuu and many more.

Until last year plans began for the no budget film to pitch as a movie for threaters. Now, along with Broken Promises 3 actor, Deshni Govender, a short online teaser film was made.

Let's hope for the best!

‘RoboCop’ Director Discusses The Reboot’s Story & Themes

Nineteen years (at the time of writing this) have passed since RoboCop 3 opened in theaters to a poor critical reception and a paltry $10 million domestic gross. While news of an impending franchise reboot – which will essentially amount to a remake of the original 1987 RoboCop movie – has not gone over well, it’s not so unusual, in this day and age, for Hollywood to revisit a former cash-cow that ended its run on a sour note (as far as its theatrical release goes).
Most of the creative talent behind the slew of upcoming 1980s movie reboots/remakes (Total Recall, Evil Dead, Commando, etc.) have been selling their projects as being grittier and more realistic in design than their predecessors. However, the director behind the new RoboCop flick, José Padilha, has been largely focused on promoting his film’s thematic qualities.

Born from the blood of dead warriors, she is a secret fighter, and the back up plan of Shou Khan, when all else fails.

Who's ready for Mortal Kombat Legacy Season 2?

Well hopefully we gonna get some answers revealed soon! But some times it's better that it's a surprise you don't want the story revealed to much.

As a big fan of the game I am not really adding my views to the upcoming film because sometimes what we want won't work in a LIVE feature. It's better to just be happy with a film that's finally coming out. But I actually think they shouldn't make it in 3d!

The one reason is that although 3d is awesome, I would rather see the film become successful without boasting the ticket prices. And plus a lot of fighting games have been disappointing, so prove without 3d what a film can do!
Nowadays almost every movie comes out in 3d, and it's starting to bore me!

Dance out of poverty!

Local Director, Renaldo Kell of the short film Steel, which premiered at the Ntuzuma Arts Festival,  will be working on a full feature film in-titled Ecstasy,  which is basically about a young guy who loses he's father and is left to support he's younger brother and sister along with he's mother. Until he learns about a dance competition that, if won, could free he's family from financial problems. Still in the early phases, it seems promising. The only people attached to this project for now is Director Renaldo Kell and Producer Nelisa Mzimela. Production starts early next year.

Nightmare On Elm Street 2 Is Coming, Likely In 3D

The final box office figures are in for this past weekend and they show that Platinum Dune’s A Nightmare On Elm Street remake grossed $32.9 million in its first three days of release – that’s just about enough to cover production costs on the new Freddy Krueger flick.
Needless to say, Warner Bros. is already looking to develop a sequel that would see Jackie Earle Haley back as the metal-clawed Krueger – and yes, there’s a good chance his next killing spree will be in 3D.

You might recall that Nightmare On Elm Street producer Brad Fuller was hesitant last week to start talking up a sequel – especially given the recent death of his Friday the 13th: Part 2 3D project.  Now that his new horror remake is a hit, however, it’d probably be a safe bet to assume that Fuller will be onboard for another venture down Elm Street.
Warner Bros. distribution president Dan Fellman certainly is, having already announced that – although there is neither a story nor the beginning of a script for A Nightmare On Elm Street 2“[the Nightmare On Elm Street opening weekend] is the largest horror opening in the April-May corridor, and it just proves there’s a lot left in the franchise.”
a nightmare on elm street rooney mara nancy
It looks like Nancy and Co. won't be living the quiet life anytime soon.
For now, Nightmare On Elm Street scribes Wesley Strick and Eric Heisserer – who will also pen the upcoming Final Destination 5 – seem all but set to pen the sequel as well.  Director Samuel Bayer – who made his feature-length directorial debut with the remake – has in the past claimed that would not be back for another outing with Freddy Krueger.  Of course, as he admitted to Dread Central last week, “Don’t rule me out just yet if there is a sequel.  You never know how things work out. I’d love to do it again.”
So at last we come to the million dollar question – will A Nightmare On Elm Street 2 be in 3D?
Well, producer Brad Fuller has already spoken on this matter and has insisted that he believes “3D movies have to be designed and written as such… I don’t want to shoehorn the story just so we can use 3D technology.  I do really think [a Nightmare On Elm Street] movie and the visual style would work well within a 3D environment, though, so you never know.”
freddy krueger in 3d from freddy's dead a nighmare on elm street
Hopefully, a 3D 'Nightmare On Elm Street' sequel would look better than this.
Of course there is one other question – do fans want to see A Nightmare On Elm Street 2?
The Nightmare On Elm Street reviews seems to be mixed at best – you can read our review HERE – as the flick has a Rotten Tomatoes rating of only 16% and an IMDB average around 6.1, currently.  The biggest issue that a lot of moviegoers seem to have with the film is that it’s simply unoriginal, unimaginative, and lacks the charm of previous Freddy Krueger films.
But what do you think?  Are you psyched for the Nightmare On Elm Street sequel?  Do you think the 3D factor could solve some of the problems that the remake suffered from?
We’ll keep you posted on the progress of A Nightmare On Elm Street 2 as more information comes in.

The Adventures Of Rory & Connor: The Buglar Who Made Tea

Faith In What?

Are you happy just barely making it through the months. When will we
stop having faith in our jobs and have faith in God? When people say,
"Things are bad I really need a job," it really frustrates me. From my point
of view all you need is God. God wants you to be bless and have your
own business or career. Not barely make it every month. But as long as
you make excuses and sit on your behind, you will never archieve God's plan for your life.

After 3 weeks as box office king, ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ falls to #3

After dominating the box office for three straight weekends, The Dark Knight Rises has been dethroned by The Bourne Legacy and The Campaign. Christopher Nolan’s latest Batman movie pulled in a domestic total of $19.5 million this weekend, earning it the number three spot. That puts the domestic gross at $390.1 million and the overall worldwide gross at $835.4 million. With still another month or two left to go in theaters, I think The Dark Knight Rises is on track to hit that $1 billion mark.

Steel Ntuzuma Arts Festival Trailer

A Dark Street Fighter In The Works?

STREET FIGHTER REBORN

I was sitting in front of the PC looking through some pictures of Street Fighter and realize something...... Street Fighter the movie can be a dark and gritty film. The ideas that I had took the version of Street Fighter and turned it on it's head.

Firstly I would get rid of Ryu and Ken's costumes, cause in the games it works, but not in film. I would base it around Bison's tournament that he put together to find the best warriors to build he's army. But mostily I would focus on Ryu, which will take a whole trilogy, how he goes darker into the powers that he was given.

That would be alot more interresting. But first I would like to do a youtube video to prove my point but I need budget for that. If you want to see a darker Street Fighter, just press the donate pay pal button on this site, to help that vision come alive.

Thank you

The film Steel, starring Daniel Brisley and Kerusha Kisten will make it's debut at the Ntuzuma Arts Festival on the 31st of August. Director Renaldo Kell explains that the film was actually suppose to be a dark and gritty movie.
But when there was no budget that had to do it less serious and more fun which gave new comer, Daniel Brisley a chance to experience acting first hand.
With the help of Co-Producer Vishal Singh, it became a no budget film that was action packed and filled with suspense.

Warner Bros. wants Ben Affleck to direct ‘Justice League’

With Christopher Nolan declaring himself out of the running for JUSTICE LEAGUE, Warner Bros. has approached another of its go-to directors in Ben Affleck, who’s expected to discuss the project with studio brass in the coming days, multiple sources tell Variety's Jeff Sneider and Justin Kroll. Since guiding WB’s THE TOWN to commercial success and critical acclaim from both sides of the camera, Affleck has ascended high on the studio’s list of filmmakers who can be trusted with prime properties. Thus far, Affleck is the only candidate who’s been sent Will Beall’s JUSTICE LEAGUE script, which the GANGSTER SQUAD scribe was hired to write last summer. DC Comics’ answer to Marvel’s Avengers, JUSTICE LEAGUE is expected to bring together marquee characters
Justice Batman and Superman, as well as Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and The Flash. Affleck has made it clear that he’s only interested in directing films in which he also stars — THE TOWN and ARGO are proof of that — so its likely that if this pairing ever came to fruition, he would don a suit of his own. One possible hesitation on Affleck’s part is that any involvement with JUSTICE LEAGUE would take him out of circulation as a director for a few years. He could, however, still fit in an acting gig at Warners. Affleck has spent the last several weeks mulling an offer to star in topline Greg Berlanti’s long-gestating sci-fi drama REPLAY, which WB has spent more than a decade developing. Based on Ken Grimwood’s 1987 bestseller, story follows a man who dies and gets the chance to relive his life over and over again, changing partners and professions each time. JUSTICE LEAGUE won’t likely be ready for release until summer 2015, which could put it up right against Marvel’s AVENGERS 2, which has Joss Whedon returning to helm.

Director of Snow White & The Hunts Men taps Kristen Stewart's ass

Fans are super angry at Kristen for cheating on Robert Pattinson — and her affair with director Rupert Sanders may have destroyed the future of the ‘Snow White’ franchise! Read on for all the details!

Kristen Stewart tarnished her three-year relationship with Robert Pattinson when she cheated with Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders, but they may have destroyed the franchise as well — along with their entire careers!

“None of the studios are going to want to work with a married director who publicly hooks up with the much younger leading lady,” one Hollywood source told Page Six. Another added, “Female moviegoers were just looking for a reason to dislike Kristen Stewart, and now they’ve got it.”
Studio Executive Dorian Rubin tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively, “Right now there is nothing Kristen Stewart can do to save her career. Her career exists on her fans and right now her fans are not happy. They feel betrayed, they are upset, it’s not a good sign for Kristen. The reason Kristen became so successful in the first place was because of her fans. For studio executives, fan base equals box-office dollars. If Kristen loses her fans she loses value! It doesn’t matter that she is only 22-years-old and was may have been taken advantage of by her older director, her fans are that age or younger and they may not forgive her. They were all hoping that the photos were photo-shopped. So many hearts were broken, not just Rob’s, but all of her fans. Bella Swan would NEVER do something like this!”
The hardest task of all — if a future sequel to Snow White does happen — will be uniting Rupert with the film’s original players — including Kristen, his wife Liberty Ross and Charlize Theron. Obviously the affair is bad timing, since the first Snow, which was Rupert’s feature debut, made $381 million at the box office!
And it seems like Snow White isn’t the only franchise that may be affected by this scandal!
A source close to Summit Entertainment, the film studio, and the Breaking Dawn Part 2 movie, coming out this fall, opens up about their worries on how this scandal will impact the final installment of the popular franchise. “Everyone is very scared on how to move forward with promotion, as they know the cheating is still going to be an issue [this fall].” Our insider continues, “They are highly considering doing only the safe routes of Jay Leno and MTV only. But it’s currently a complete nightmare trying to move forward with the film’s promotion.”
