Rockstar Games announced on Twitter that its upcoming game Max Payne 3 will require two discs for the Xbox 360 and 35GB of free space for PC. The size of the game would fit onto a bluray disc for the PlayStation 4.
News first emerged when movie and game rental company Redbox, posted that the first disc would have a single player mode but no multiplayer. Rockstar would later tweet to rectify the rumors.

"That Redbox info is not accurate. Redbox only ever rent out one disc, for any multi-disc game, posted Rockster. "Max is on 2 discs for 360, so Redbox will be renting disc 1 which contains half of the single player story and the full multiplayer game."
Max Payne 3 is considered a game of epic proportions requiring 35gb of space. The recommended free space required to run the PC version of Max dwarfs its competition. Crytek's Crysis PC games is known to require a good amount of space. Crysis 2 required 12 gb. Another giant PC title is Blizzard's World of Warcraft, which requires 25gb of free space.
Below are additional minimum requirements to run Max.
- CPU: 2.4 GHz Intel Dual Core or 2.6 GHz AMD Dual Core
- RAM: 2 GB
- Video card: 512 MB Nvidia 8600 GT or Radeon HD 3400
- HDD: 35 GB
- OS: Windows XP SP3 or higher
Up to 16 players battle in "Gang Wars mode" as gang members in matches that follow a story, with each round's objective dictated by what happened in the last one.
In "Payne Killer," two players take on the roles of Max and his sidekick, Raul Passos, as the work together to survive against six other players.
Another new element is Rockstar's online service platform called Social Club. This feature allows players to create crews from the Max Payne 3 game and have the ability to use them on Grand Theft Auto 5's multiplayer mode.
Max Payne 3 is scheduled to hit stores May 15 and will be available for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. PC will be available on May 29.
